Enado wins Prestige Building Award.

Innovative home control solution Enado, a spin out from install Automation Ltd, today won the Making it App’n competition held at Insite11 at the BRE in Watford. After being shortlisted to six entries from a large initial entry list we are delighted to have won this prestige award against stiff competition, receiving over 50% of the votes from delegates attending Insite 11. The competition was run by the BRE, Modern Built Environment and the Construction Products Association (CPA). The prize is assistance from BRA,MBE and CPA and key industry players to roll out Enado.

Birmingham-based Install Automation Ltd has announced today that it and its Open AV – Enado product has been the recipient of yet another award in the Smart HomeTechnology category of the National Home Building and Renovating Magazine Awards 2011.

The Birmingham company, which now employs eleven people in its head office in Pope Street in the Jewellery Quarter and regional office in Knutsford, achieved the award for Open AV – Enado, an advanced energy and automation control solution that connects, controls and monitors the functions, systems and entertainment in residential and commercial buildings through simple web enabled devices such as smartphones, tablets and personal computers.

OpenAV – Enado provides whole house integration with control and real time monitoring of energy usage through connection to any type of smart meter or energy sensor, amalgamating information from electricity, water, gas and other utilities into one screen. The real-time energy readouts and load controls of OpenAV-Enado are clear and informative, enabling homeowners to see how much energy their home is consuming and the effect of switching off energy-consuming devices.

Open AV – Enado also facilitates control and power-saving of house functions, such as room temperature, whole-house lighting, door entry, security and all audio-video sources. These can be accessed and controlled and managed via most smartphones, tablets, pc’s or over the Internet from any web enabled device and location.

INSTALL AUTOMATION LTD SHORTLISTED IN ICT EXCELLENCE AWARDS 2010

Birmingham-based Install Automation Ltd has announced today that it and its Open AV product is a finalist in the Green Technology category of the ICT Excellence Awards 2010.

The Birmingham company, which currently employs ten people at its head office in Pope Street in the Jewellery Quarter, achieved the shortlist for Open AV, an advanced energy and automation control solution that connects, controls and monitors the functions, systems and entertainment in residential and commercial buildings through simple web enabled devices such as smartphones, tablets and personal computers.  Along with the other finalists, Install Automation will present its submission to a panel of judges before the winners of the coveted technology awards are announced in November at a prestigious awards evening.

The Annual ICT Excellence Awards were established in 2005. They aim to showcase successful and innovative ICT companies and public sector organisations, of all types and sizes, and provide recognition to their teams for all their hard work and effort.

The winners will be announced at an evening awards ceremony following the annual ICT Conference on 25th November 2010, which is being held at the National Motorcycle Museum in Bickenhill, Solihull.
